PKI Forum Announces Executive Board
Industry Leaders Elected to Executive Board During Inaugural Members Meeting
MENLO PARK, Calif., Mar. 15, 2000
- The PKI Forum, an industry-led collaboration created
to accelerate the adoption of Public-Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology and PKI-based
solutions as the trusted foundation for secure e-business applications, today
announced its executive board.

Last week, during the inaugural members meeting (see "PKI
Forum Holds Inaugural Members Meeting", also released today) the executive
board was expanded to include two additional seats filled via election.
Michael Baum, of VeriSign, and Patrick Richard, of Xcert International, were elected
to the board by the forum's members. Following the board election, the new
board elected John Sabo of IBM/Tivoli to chair the board.
"These new board appointments mark the beginning of
the next stage for the PKI Forum," said John Sabo, the newly elected chair
of the executive board. "In the past the activities of the forum have
been driven by the five founding members. We now have over 50 members and are
poised to tackle our main objective - the accelerated deployment of PKI."
About the PKI Forum
The PKI Forum is an international, not-for-profit, multi-vendor
and end-user alliance whose purpose is to accelerate the adoption and use of Public-Key
Infrastructure (PKI), PKI-based products and services. Baltimore Technologies,
Entrust Technologies, IBM, Microsoft and RSA Security Inc. founded the forum in
December 1999 and since that time have welcomed PKI vendors, application developers,
system integrators and end users to participate in Forum activities. The
PKI Forum advocates industry cooperation and market awareness to enable organizations
